Reading the Smart Money: On-Chain Accumulation Signals

Price is a lagging indicator. On-chain data is where the signal lives. This is the framework I've used to identify accumulation phases before major moves.

The three metrics that matter most

• Exchange Net Flow: Sustained outflows = coins moving to cold storage = accumulation. Inflows = distribution.
• Whale Wallet Activity: Addresses holding 1,000+ BTC adding positions consistently is the clearest institutional signal available.
• SOPR (Spent Output Profit Ratio): When SOPR dips below 1.0 and quickly bounces, buyers are absorbing — classic accumulation behavior.

Current reading

Exchange outflows positive for 14 consecutive days. Whale wallets added net 23,000 BTC over two weeks. SOPR reset below 1.0 and recovering. The setup is constructive.
